The Road not taken
we went on a trip to the mole gap trail, a 10-kilometre walking route alongside the River Mole, for inspiration in creating a publication for the poem "the road not taken" by robert frost.
My publication I made A5, as to reflect the brevity and ephemeral nature of a poem, and found myself inspired by the mid-autumn trees as they lost their leaves and scattered them over the winding paths.
I wanted my publication to reflect the idea of choices, nostalgia and nature that are presented in the poem, and I did this by maintaining an aesthetic of black and white silhouette type figures throughout the book, with plant and path-like imagery on each page.
I included a semi-translucent dust cover around the book with text that aligns to the front cover
