JhenÉ aiko merch

I had the opportunity to work with R&B Singer/Songwriter Jhené Aiko on merchandise for her one-off show in Oakland, California. This artwork was made inspired by spirtualism, vintage fantasy art and incorporates her ALLEL symbol (meaning “a living light, eternal love”) hidden as a large monument behind the hillside.

Tile Giant Trend Edit 2023

The trend edit is a staple of Tile Giant. Updated every year, this digital publication provides customers with a multitude of ideas for tiling and styling their homes, keeping them up-to-date with the current trends in interior design.

For 2023, I was lucky enough to take part in designing the fresh look for the new trend edit, keeping it refined, modern and stylish.

Web Graphics

During my time working for Tile Giant, I would create weekly updated graphics for their website, emails and social media, here are a couple of examples of the work I produced to advertise various sales. These were marketed towards Tile Giant’s retail audience, keeping a certain tone of voice and design styles to the brand guidelines.

As a leading retail company, Tile Giant takes part in many famous worldwide sale events such as Cyber Monday. For this, I created motion graphics and web banners that incorporated the thematics of “cyber” utilising the guideline fonts and colours.

PRinted pos

Mega Sale POS assets

These mega sale assets were inspired by handpainted, retro signage that you’d typically see on store fronts in the 19th - mid 20th century. I wanted to inject this nostalgia into the modern day. The above banner and poster to the side were rolled out across 40+ Tile Giant stores in
the UK.

Senses

“Seventh Heaven” Album Cover

This was my design for the artist Senses’ album “Seventh Heaven”. Senses is an enigmatic creation, as the artist plays the role of a purely conceptual AI / android female. This extract from music blog Lyrical Lemonade perfectly encapsulates Senses as an artist:

“Today’s world is one that sees a heightened level of self-awareness and transparency when it comes to having a public image. In knowing this, it makes it all the more special when a figure – especially one in an online space – can embrace the art of conceptual anonymity to its fullest potential and carry their lives out as such within this very space.”

My design was informed by discussion with Senses - because of the title of the album, and various songs off the album with titles such as “Guardian Angel”, I knew that biblical / angellic imagery would tie in well with the narrative of the album. I incorporated an image of the ‘layers of heaven’, an archaic illustration of the different sections from heaven all the way to hell. These ring-like layers on the cover art frame a line illustration of Senses, which is accented by a splash of blue paint which draws the eye to focus on it - as this is of course, Senses’ album, and their fans will recognise this figure as Senses.

I also generated a tracklist design for this album to promote the album on Senses’ social media.

Tracklist Design for “Seventh Heaven” by Senses

Leeds University Nursing Society Logo

I was given the opportunity to design the new logo for the Leeds University Nursing Society. I was given free reign to reinterpret the visual identity for the society.

I chose colours that reflect the nursing course, with blues that are reminicent of the uniform the nurses wear whilst training. The logo also incorporates The Parkinson Building, where the nursing course is held at Leeds University.

This logo was embroidered onto hoodies for the LUNS members 2019-2021 and used throughout all their social media accounts.

Odece

“VIP” SINGLE COVER

This was my design for the artist Odece’s single “VIP”. Odece is a vocalist and producer from Germany.

After discussion with Odece, we devised that a 3D, space-age scene with vibrant effects would best fit the song. The text was a custom line drawn font, which I altered to look 3D with shadow and highlight techniques. The spheres were added to look reminiscent of planets to bear the different text.

“winter” SINGLE COVER

This was my design for the artist 5v’s single “Winter” featuring Grravee. 5v is a vocalist and producer
from Germany.

For this design I wanted to keep it simple and clean, so I went with what looks like an A4 sheet kept in centre of the artwork. I added frost-like imagery that appears around the edges of the repeated text “Winter”.
